At Star City Behavioral Health, we believe that caring for our community goes beyond the walls of our offices. Supporting the whole person, and with that the whole family, means being there during both the everyday challenges and special moments, including the holidays. This season, caring translates into meal box distributions, a free turkey, and community support in Richmond, Virginia.
A Season of Support
This Thanksgiving, we’re proud to partner with Operation Reach and Church Hill Christian Wellness Center to provide 100 Thanksgiving turkeys and meal boxes to families across Richmond who could use a little extra support this season.
We know that the holidays can be a time of both joy and stress. For families facing financial challenges, putting a complete Thanksgiving meal on the table can feel overwhelming. That’s why we’re here, to help ensure that every family in our community has the opportunity to gather around a nourishing meal this Thanksgiving.

As our Chief Operating Officer Stephanie Bellanger says, “Food is care. Community is care. Our goal is to stand with families who may be feeling the weight of the season.”
This turkey distribution is just one of the ways Star City Behavioral Health works to support the well-being and stability of families in Richmond. We’re grateful for our community partners who work tirelessly year-round to feed, support, and uplift our neighbors.
